Jabari founded TUF Club in 2017 with the goal of improving our clients’ quality of life through individually tuned training and fitness protocols. We have developed a series of programs and products that give people a chance to accomplish their fitness goals and dreams with a variety of collaborative coaching elements. Anyone who’s made a commitment to improving their health or strength knows that it’s not only about having access to top notch equipment and the latest science or opinions on best practice (we certainly have that too). It’s more often about keeping yourself accountable and making sure that you don’t plateau any faster than your body’s maximum ability.

I’m originally from St. Louis, and now reside in Leawood, KS. I’ve always been athletic. In college, I was a top competitor in NCJAA and NCAA track and field which led to coaching track at Shlage High School.  Despite attention to preventing injury in my athletes, I suffered my own SLAP II TEAR in my dominant shoulder. Now fully recovered, I combine personal experience along with expert training as a Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Nutrition Coach, and Transformation Specialist through the International Sports Science Association.

I am a quirky ex-athlete turned NASM accredited trainer with over 8 years of personal experience and education. I believe the right approach fitness and health is the key to taking any human to the next level.  My specialty is helping to guide you and your body in the right direction to make long lasting change through methods of nutrition, calculated workouts, and lifestyle habit management. My niche methods of exercise are based around foundational movements for body control, injury prevention, High Intensity Interval Training (HITT), weight training, and muscular strength. I tune these methods for: youth athletics (ages 7-14); beginner, intermediate and advanced weight lifting; fat reduction, body composition shift, muscle and body building.

Wes was raised on the east side of Kansas City, MO. He grew up quickly, on his own at 16 and a single father by 22. Five days after his 24th birthday, life changed forever when he was shot multiple times by a stranger while walking to his car. One of the bullets nearly severed his spine and left him paralyzed from the waist down. Instead of succumbing to the depression caused by the injury, he decided to become an inspiration to his daughter and others. He lost 100 lbs., developed nutrition and culinary skills, and eventually founded the non-profit Disabled But Not Really (DBNR) with a focus on adaptive training. Wes has since become a role model in the Crossfit Community, been featured in Men’s Health, and even made his TV debut on Queer Eye.
